Description

Ranking among the world's largest royal palaces, this historic landmark serves as the current official residence of the Spanish Monarchy and holds deep ties to Madrid's origins. As soon as we enter the complex, we will find ourselves at the Royal Armoury Square, with views to the former hunting grounds of the royal family and the main façade inviting us inside. As we enter through its main door we encounter the staircase, once used by 18th-century nobility and now by ambassadors, which will lead us to approximately 25 rooms adorned with stunning frescoes, sculptures, chandeliers, tapestries, furniture, ceramics, and royal family portraits. Then, take in the beauty of other lavish decorations - chosen, acquired, and used by these monarchs daily. The same rooms where the Spanish royal family once resided, and which will reveal to us some extraordinary events and anecdotes concerning their lives and the history of Spain. Finally, your guided tour concludes, but feel free to continue to the temporary exhibits without your guide before leaving the museum.
