Museums Free Entrance

Here we’ll show you when and how to take advantage of certain times offered by museums so that only the few in the know can enjoy the finest art, totally free.

Most of the museums in Madrid offer free entrance to anyone under 18, over 65, or unemployed. We also want you to know that even if you don’t fall into to one of these three categories, it’s still possible to enter without paying a thing.

Prado Museum

Free Entrance to all visitors to the permanent collection: From Monday to Saturday, 6pm to 8pm, and Sundays and holidays from 5pm to 7pm. November 19 and International Museum Day, during the full opening hours.

Queen Sofía Museum

Free admission days
Monday to Friday from 19:00 to 21:00 *
Saturday from 14:30 to 21:00
Sunday from 10:00 to 14:30
18 April, 18 May, 12 October and 6 December

Crystal Palace

Free admisiion every day

Sorolla Museum

Free admision every Sundays and April the 18^th; May the 18^th; October the 12th; and December the 6^th.

Fine Arts Academy Museums

Free to the general pubic on Wednesdays (apart from public holidays)

Bullring Museum

Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 14:00 hours

Lazaro Galdiano Museum

From 15:30 to 16:30 hours Monday and Wednesday to Saturday and Sundays from 14:00 to 15:00 hours.

Royal Palace

For European and Latin American Citizens on Wednesday and Thursday from 15:00 to 18:00 hours (October to March) and from 17:00 to 20:00 hours (April to September).
